The Hiking
There is no place like the San Francisco Bay Area for hiking, biking, exploring, picnicking, and running the dogs.
Southern California is famous for its beaches, but they're long, boring, crowded, and you can't take your dog.
Tahoe is fantastic for hiking, but the water is freezing year-round, and what good is that after a hike?
The San Francisco Bay Area has thousands of square acres of beautiful federal, state, and county parks, beaches, trails, lakes ponds, creeks, and streams.
Marin County alone is all anyone should need in terms of scenic beauty and solitude. And much federal parkland is clothing optional, so if you like hiking in the buff, Marin could be the answer to your prayers.
In Marin you'll find Point Reyes National Seashore, Bolinas Beach, Bass Lake, Limantour Beach, Randall Trail, Bolinas Ridge Trail, Hagmire Pond, and Starlight Meadow,
ALL of which are legally-clothing-optional!
Best of all, in the SF Bay Area, you never have to look very far to find a place to take a leak!
